Former Taita Taveta Governor John Mruttu has hit out at opposition leader Raila Odinga after he transformed NASA into a National Resistance Movement. The former ODM governor ridiculed the new outfit, saying there was no need for such a grouping in Kenya.Speaking after casting his ballot at Saint Patrick Kimala Primary School in Taveta constituency on Thursday, Mruttu said there were enough laws to guide the country."We must use the laws that we have. We cannot be calling for reforms every now and then without using the existing laws to seek solutions," said Mruttu, as quoted by the Standard. On Wednesday, Raila announced the formation of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) calling for civil disobedience in the country."When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty and if there is no justice for the people, let there be no peace for the government," he said during a rally at Uhuru Park.Mruttu, who recently ditched NASA for Jubilee, called upon the leaders to respect the outcome of the repeat presidential election conducted on Thursday."Kenya needs a stable environment to proceed with development programmes," the former county boss added.Jubilee leaders who have dismissed NASA’s formation of a National Resistance Movement include Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar and Mombasa politician Suleiman Shahbal.
