Days after a section of Gusii leaders condemned installation of Simba Arati as community spokesman, more leaders have joined the bandwagon.

Early, Gusii Council of Elder chairman James Matundura termed the move as 'hot air' adding that the community would install the 'right leader at the right time'

"We recognize him as one of us in Nairobi and those who installed him violated various traditions protested by elders," he protested.

What was initially brought up by youths, culminated in Arati's installation at a colorful ceremony held in Bobasi on Sunday.

And Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonko has dismissed the move adding that Arati should confine himself to Nairobi politics.

"We have not run short of local leaders and i want to ask my brother to strictly confine himself to Nairobi," he said on Facebook.

Ex- North Mugirango MP Winfred Ombui said: "The ceremony was uncalled for and i condemn it in entirety."

Although he has been linked with a move to Gusii region politics, Arati has however maintained he will continue staying in Nairobi.

Within the ODM ranks, Arati is one of highly dependable legislators by the party from Nairobi area.
