More leaders in Nyamira County have sent messages of condolences to the family of Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama following the demise of his son Ndemo Nyagarama.
Ndemo succumbed to acute meningitis on Monday evening at a Nairobi hospital where he has been receiving treatment.
A Nyamira based politician Victor Swanya mourned Ndemo as a committed man who interacted with all people.
“It is a sad moment that we are mourning the death of Governor Nyagarama’s son. Ndemo was a committed person who didn’t know how to discriminate people in society.
"The county has lost a hero. During this trying moment, we will stand with the family,” he said.
North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko said Ndemo’s death is a big loss not only to the family but also Nyamira county.
“My condolences to the family of Governor John Nyagarama and First Lady Naomi Nyagarama for the big loss.
"The family will have our support during this trying moment. May Ndemo’s soul rest in peace,” he said.
Jerusha Momanyi, Nyamira County women representative said she learned the death of Ndemo in a rude shock.
“It is a dark moment for the family and the entire people of Nyamira County following the demise of Ndemo. May God comfort the family during this trying moment,” she noted.
