Education Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i has continued to receive support from across the political divide on the ongoing education reforms.

On Thursday, MPs Ben Momanyi (Borabu) and Vincent Kemosi (North Mugirango) backed Matiangi following the rolling out of 2-6-6-3 education systems.

And Nyamira Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi now wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to retain the outspoken in his new cabinet to be unveiled soon.

"He has proved to be a team player despite criticism. I am challenging the president to ensure he is retained in the education ministry."

Similar sentiments were echoed by James oteki, Executive KNUT Secretary for Masaba North who urged leaders to cooperate with Matiang'i.

"As a teacher, I fully support the ongoing reforms. He has demonstrated that we can make things work."
