Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua has responded to news that National Super Alliance(NASA) leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta held talks at his Harambee House office.

Through her official Twitter handle on Friday, the former Kirinyaga Gubernatorial candidate indicated that dialogue between the two leaders was inevitable, considering the impasse the electioneering period had created.

“Dialogue, like we have said before, cannot be avoided by a people who share a common destiny – Narc-Kenya says “one Kenya one nation one people,” she said.

Last year before the repeat 26th elections, seven leaders from Central led by former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo and Martha Karua, in a statement to the press called on Uhuru, Raila and IEBC to dialogue and agree on how the repeat election would be conducted.

The leaders expressed fears that the current political crisis could throw the country into chaos.

The statement was signed by Kabogo, Karua, Peter Mositet, Samuel Ragwa, Dr. Kilemi Mwiria, Ndung’u Gethenji and Kabando wa Kabando.On their first surprise meeting at Harambee House in Nairobi, President Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila have promised to work together and unite the country (Kenya) that has been divided for generations. 

The two agreed to start a process of healing and uniting the nation following the prevailing political crisis in the country.
