Leaders from both Jubilee and NASA from Nyamira have hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta for appointing lawyer Ken Ogeto as new Solicitor General.
Last week, area governor John Nyagarama termed the move 'historic' adding that it had earned Nyamira a special place in the country.
"We have the Chief Justice and now the Solicitor General. This is a special gift by the president,' he had said.
The Nyamira born lawyer, who has served as Uhuru's legal adviser before, takes over from Njee Muturi, who was moved to State House.
And Nyamira Women Representive Jerusha Momanyi along with Borabu MP Ben Momanyi have backed Ogeto to perform in his new duties.
"I have known him as a dedicated lawyer and I certanly have no doubt that he will excel," said Mrs Momanyi.
On his part, Ben Momanyi: "This is a wonderful appointment and we will not take it for granted. I thank the president for the honour."
He took oath on Tuesday to the office which is literally directly under the Attorney General and probably most powerful within the state.
