A section of leaders has warned both Kisii and Nyamira counties leaders to stop fighting Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati.
They told him that he should respect Mr Arati who is currently the Abagusii spokesperson as he had shown that he was able to deliver.
"Mr Onyonka had all the time to be sworn in as the abagusii spokesperson but he was never interested we are now shocked by what he is saying," said Lameck Mokua who contested for the Bomachoge Borabu seat.
Early this week, Mr Onyonka said that he would be running for the governorship seat come 2022 and he will ensure that he is sworn in just like Mr Arati.
The entry of Mr Arati into Gusii politics has been welcomed by locals who say that it will be of great benefit for the locals.
Other leaders who have shown interest in running for the seat include; Kisii Deputy governor Joash Maangi, South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya and Nyaribari Masaba MP Richard Tong'i.
