Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati is the latest leader to rebuke a section of Jubilee lawmakers opposed to the Uhuru, Raila unity pact.
Arati has urged the legislators to keep off the issue.
Speaking during a fund drive at Gendia SDA church in Karachuonyo, Homa Bay, Arati stated that some Jubilee lawmakers were deliberately planning to sabotage the implementation of the handshake.
Mr. Arati stated that they, as ODM, would not allow any attempt by Jubilee lawmakers to undermine the agreement.
“Our president, Raila Amollo Odinga, and President Uhuru Kenyatta had an agreement. But we’re seeing deliberate attempts from the same people of Jubilee trying to undermine the handshake agreement. We urge them to keep off the handshake,” said Arati.
The legislator said Raila and President Kenyatta met for the benefit of the people of Kenya.
