Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua has said that she will not back Deputy President's presidential bid in 2022.
Ms Karua adds up to the list of leaders who are planning to stop Mr Ruto's presidency by all means.
She was reacting to a tweet by one, Future Legacy who said that Mount Kenya leaders were going to ensure that Mr Ruto succeeds President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"Mimi sijakubali kamwe! (I do not agree at all) that Ruto will be the next president of Kenya," Karua said in a Twitter post.
Ms Karua battled for the Kirinyaga County Governorship seat but lost to Anne Waiguru who was flying the Jubilee ticket.
Early this week, Ms Karua argued that an official close to the DP was the one who tampered with votes in Kirinyaga leading to her loss.
It will be interesting to see how leaders from the region react to her sentiments.
Other leaders who have disowned the Deputy President include former Kiambu governor William Kabogo.
