On Sunday Raila dismissed claims that he will be on ballot adding that he is keen to steer unity agenda as agreed by president Uhuru Kenyatta.

"Raila Odinga is not interested in running for 2022 polls and he is only keen to have his plans with Uhuru implemented," read a statement by his spokesman Dennis Onyango.

But in various meetings across Nyanza over the weekend, Orengo said Raila will be on ballot in 2022 much to annoyance of DP William Ruto's allies.

And ODM acting chairperson Nyamira County Richard Kaka has insisted that Raila will have no option other than being on ballot.

"He has had his victory manipulated several times and we shall push for him to be on ballot whether he likes it or not," he said.

Area youth league leader David Marube added: "We shall have Raila on ballot and nothing short of that. We shall push for him to contest.'

Prior to last year polls, Raila had indicated that he would not be on ballot in 2022 adding that he was keen to support an alternative candidate.
