Mohammed says the officers will help ACA step up crackdown of counterfeiters and counterfeit goods in the country.
"We are building a huge production capacity of goods we can export to different parts of the world and local market but our biggest threat to strategic focus is counterfeit goods. We will not allow it to undermine our efforts going forward," says Mohammed.
He addressed the press at Export Processing Zone in Athi River on Monday.
"We seek to attract investors here at export processing zone and focusing on goods for export in the zone," added he.
Mohammed said the government had made a lot of progress to ensure Kenya's ability to attract foreign investments improve.
"Last year Kenya was ranked second most attractive destination in the African continent, so the world is watching and knocking onour doors," said Mohammed.
He said there are a few unscrupulous businessmen who have not invested a penny in production of goods but want to destroysignificant brands that other traders have built for a period of time, " that we will not allow"
"We will not permit these goods which deny the government revenues into the country," said Mohammed.
Mohammed said as a government they will strengthen their joint partnerships with businesses and relevant institutions to stop counterfeiting in the entire country.
"We know some people will continue trying to counterfeit goods despite our efforts to eliminate them from our markets, we will beat you in your own game," said Mohammed.
He said the government will provide all necessary support to Anti Counterfeit Agency towards completely eliminating counterfeiters in all counties within the Kenyan borders.
"Today I announce a commitment to work with Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to assign additional 100 officers to work with Anti Counterfeit Agency so hard to ensure we fight counterfeit across the country," said Mohammed.
Mohammed said the destruction of counterfeit goods should be conducted by the agency after every three months to intensify the crackdown.
He warned that counterfeiters will not have any field day but face wrath of the law.
