The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has continued slapping politicians with fines for different election offenses.

On Thursday, the commission fined Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka and his rival Walter Wangamati with a fine of Sh1 million for chaos in Bungoma town that led to death of one person.

On Friday, the Wafula Chebukati led commission fined Kibwezi parliamentary aspirant with a Sh500,000 fine for instigating violence during a rally on June 2.

During the incident, Kibwezi MP Jessica Mbalu's car was stoned after her supporters clashed with Kaloki's at Makutano shopping centre.

The rival groups clashed as they were celebrating clearance of their respective leaders by IEBC.

"The accused is ordered to refrain from orchestrating acts of violence and intimidation during the ongoing election campaigns," IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati said on Friday.

"My life is in danger. I pray for more security. Kaloki and rowdy youths have really intimidated me and at one time threatened to sexually abuse me. From that time I have a fear of men, even my husband has to be very close to me," she said.
