Pressure is mounting on President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto to resign from power ahead of the August General elections.

Leaders from both the opposition and ruling party have continued to express mixed reactions over the high cost of living in the  nation.

Mbita Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo joined leaders who want President Uhuru Kenyatta to vacate power before we head to the polls.

Odhiambo argues President Kenyatta has failed to lead this nation, adding that he should leave office to allow Cord Leader Raila Amolo Odinga to take over.

"I want to tell the president in other countries in the world when a country reaches this level the most honorable thing to do as the president is not even to wait for August 2017 but he should resign immediately and let somebody else who is capable of handling the country take over," she stated, as quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.

Odhiambo, who has been a strong critic of the Jubilee adminstration, has maintained that Kenyans have nothing to smile about since President Kenyatta took over power.

The remarks of the legislator come after Deputy William Ruto and Ford Kenya Leader traded barbs over appointment of Kalonzo’s son to join East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA).
