Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has yet again been thrown to defense following his open defiance to court orders.
Despite appealing his conviction, various leaders have questioned his respect to the rule of law with some asking him to quit office.
And now, ex-Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has joined the debate, asking Matiang'i to take responsibility for disrespecting court orders.
"No matter who you are, court orders whether wrong or correct ought to be followed. It is therefore disgusting that he could go ahead to disregard courts.
"If Uhuru Kenyatta wants to leave behind a good legacy, he must start by de-whipping the likes of Matiang'i. If he cannot sack him, then he qualifies to be the captain of impunity," he said.
The controversial deportation of lawyer Miguna Miguna has thrown Matiang'i into precarious position even though he has often maintained that he was not responsible for his tribulations.
Among other top leaders who have condemned Matiang'i over Miguna's fiasco include former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga and top lawyers across the country.
