Pressure keeps coming thick and fast for Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka as Kenya nears the August 8th polls. On Tuesday Kalonzo was trending on almost all social media platforms after a local daily published that he was allegedly planning to ditch opposition outfit NASA and go solo in August polls.Reliable sources had indicated that Musyoka was canvassing for incumbent Governor Julius Malombe to retain the Kitui gubernatorial seat. The move by Musyoka almost shook the Wiper Party unity after Musila once walked out of a Kalonzo speech after he urged him not to contest for the seat in favor of Malombe. The infighting is set for a new twist after eight MPS from the larger Kitui county publicly endorsed Musila in a press briefing on Wednesday. "This is not for Kalonzo to support me but a message to Kitui people to support me. I am going to be a candidate for Kitui regardless of the party," said Musila.Among the MP at the brief was National Assembly Minority leader Francis Nyenze who is a close Kalonzo's ally.
