National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has been urged to call off plans to swear himself in on December 12, 2017.Speaking during a Sunday service at St Massimo Catholic parish in Meru, Jubilee Party leaders cautioned Raila against the move."Conducting such an event amounts to treason. Raila must be preparing to go to the grave," said Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria. On his part, Tharaka-Nithi Senator Prof Kithure Kindiki said anyone who participates in swearing in Raila as president would face the full force of the law."Raila together with Kibaki (retired president) gave us this Constitution. Now he is planning to violate the same Constitution he passionately fought for. He should cancel the ceremony," said the Senator.Other leaders at the event who condemned Raila over the plans to swear himself in are Buuri MP Murwithania Rindikiri and his Tigania East counterpart Josphat Gichunge Kabeabea.Last week, Raila announced that he will take the oath of office to become the people's assembly president on Jamhuri Day.The former Prime Minister claims he won the annulled August 8 presidential election, accusing Jubilee and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of rigging him out.Raila, on Sunday, said plans for his inauguration were on course, adding that NASA would not be cowed by the Jubilee regime."We are on track and I am confident we will fix what went wrong with the elections and denied us victory," said Raila in Kakamega County.
