Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula's woes seem to be nowhere near ending after new pressure was piled on him to leave his seat as the Minority Leader in the Senate.

The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) has since expressed its disapproval of the opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal occupation of the seat and on Thursday passed a motion to oust him.

The decision has been reiterated by Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina who is of the opinion that Wetangula's leadership in the house is unfair.

In a tweet on Saturday, Ole Kina reiterated his earlier stand that Wetangula should retain some equality with his NASA co-principals Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka, all of whom are not holding any elective position.

''Moses wetangula should join other principals outside the senate. We need a strong leadership,'' Senator Kina wrote.

Wetangula, who has accused the Orange Party of victimizing him, has, however, stood his ground vowing to not let go of the post, alleging that the push is a plot from some quarters within the alliance.

''The conspiratorial process to unseat me has been on for some time now but I promise the ones seeking my downfall that it won't be easy,'' said the Ford Kenya party during the Friday sitting.

His place is set to be taken by his deputy and Siaya Senator James Orengo.
