A section of leaders from Nyamira County now want the county government to make public the health status of Governor John Nyagarama.For weeks now, Nyagarama has been out of action with reports indicating that he remains hospitalised in a Nairobi hospital.

ODM Youth League leader Kitutu Masaba Douglas Maati has asked the county government to make a public pronouncement over the veteran leader's health.

"He is a public figure and we deserve to know his whereabouts. The government must come out and tell us about his progress," he said.

Ex-councilor Julius Nyachieo said: " It is unfortunate that he can go missing in action and nobody is talking about it. Let them come out and explain."

Multiple sources intimate that the 74-year-old governor cannot be able to walk on his own thus the decision to take him ill.

Also, it is believed that one of his son is hospitalised in Nairobi Hospital for months now, a reason why the family has taken a leave from active roles.
