More security officers are being withdrawn from the NASA principals as we head close to the October 26 presidential polls.
Co- principal Kalonzo Musyoka on Sunday protested the withdrawal of two more security guards from the team.
He says there might be a sinister motive by the people propagating this.
He further accused the government of compromising their security by re calling the guards which had been constitutionally allocated to them.
“What are they up to when they withdraw presidential candidates’ security?,” Said Kalonzo.
Speaking at a function in Kitui County, the NASA co principal also stated that the move was exposing them to intimidation by vigilante groups such as Mungiki.
Two more security officers were ordered to vacate the security detail on Saturday. This brings the total number of security so far withdrawn to eight. Both mobile and hose stationed at the principals’ homes.
