More students from two schools in Migori County have been interrogated in connection with last Monday’s incident where boys and girls spent hours in one dormitory.
Police and teachers are cooperating to establish the extent of planning by the affected students, the majority of whom have already been sent home.
“We are treating this matter very seriously so as to avert a similar incident in future. The entire school community is still shocked by what happened," said Manyatta High School Principal Evans Baraza.
He asked parents to help them monitor the behaviour of their children while at home during holidays.
The Migori County police boss David Kirui on Friday told the Nation that they are conducting investigations at Manyatta Dede Secondary School.
