Three Cord senators have come out and express their support for Kisumu senator Anyang Nyong'o in his bid to oust Governor Jack Ranguma during the next general election.
Senators James Orengo (Siaya), Moses Kajwang (Homa Bay) and Hassan Omar (Mombasa) have said that Nyong'o is best placed to run Kisumu due to his vast experience compared to Ranguma.
According to the lawmakers, Nyong'o has vast knowledge in matters devolution, unlike Ranguma whom they accused of mismanaging county affairs.
The Mombasa lawmaker said that Nyong'o has the spirit of devolution compared Ranguma whom he accused of mastering the art of plundering resources.
"Some of them have left a trail of looting instead of investing the money on better projects," said Omar.
Kajwang on his part echoed Omar's sentiments where he said that Nyong'o had massive knowledge in devolution matters hence the right man for Kisumu County government.
Siaya lawmaker Orengo also praised Nyong'o for his knowledge in devolution while at the same time stating that he will help Nyong'o clinch the gubernatorial seat.
The legislators were speaking in Seme, Kisumu County on Friday last week when they were hosted by Nyong'o .
The former Kisumu rural Member of Parliament is among senators who have declared an interest in running for the gubernatorial seat come 2017.
