LSK has filed a case at the Milimani High court demanding that Mucheru and Wangusi be declared unfit to hold public office over their lack of a proper explanation regarding the shutdown and violating the constitution.

"The three officials abused their power and authority and are individually liable for violating the constitution which they swore to uphold and protect," said LSK's Daniel Musyoka.

According to Musyoka, there was no state of emergency to warrant the closure of the three television stations, he said the media was just playing its part in informing the public.

Hence LSK claims that the actions carried by Wangusi and Matiang'i were carried out in full knowledge of the ICT Cs hence the three are liable for interfering with the viewership of three of the biggest media outlets in Kenya.
