Nairobi residents will continue facing tough times, after the Water and Irrigation Ministry announced more water rationing.
Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa said water levels at the Ndakaini Dam have continued to drop, yet the County greatly relies on it for water.
"Areas that have been receiving water four times in a week will now get it three times. Those that have been getting water three times will now have it twice,'' said the CS
Speaking during a tour of the dam and the Northern Water Collector Tunnel- Makomboki site, Environment CS Judy Wakhungu said this was the second time water levels dropped in such a drastic level after it happened in 2011.
"It is worrying that the Ndakaini Dam water levels are now at 41 per cent,'' she said.
The leaders also toured the Kimakia Forest Aberdares, Tuesday.
