March 8th marked the International women’s day. Women around the globe were celebrated as being loving mothers, excellent daughters, and loyal sisters.
Women make the world go round, well second after love, and they make too the best decision makers due to their intuitive sense.
In recognition to the constitution of Kenya, which allows for the two-thirds gender rule to be implemented in any office, women should be allocated the managerial positions upholding the gender principle.
Unfortunately, in Kenya, it’s a man eat world where women are backlashed and given emotional seats to fill like being deputies, just to mention of inferior posts ‘created’ just for them.
Those elected or appointed as CEOs of different offices are smeared with mud, blackmailed, manipulated and forced to leave office due to malicious details pushed their way.
According to Capital Markets Authority chief executive, Paul Muthaura, ‘Decision making should be driven across gender, skills and age. Businesses with diversity with women on their boards have proved to be more sustainable, have better performance and good risk management. They deliver long shareholder gains.’
Many women in Kenya are educated with the necessary skills to lead masses as well as provide results, Look at the First lady, Margaret Kenyatta, she is an symbolic woman who encompasses her strength and energy to make Kenya great amid the corruption and political greediness that surrounds her husband, President Kenyatta. She is a woman of her own mind, intellect and without limits, makes the best of what she has and or given.
