The MP will pay for all the youth's fees until they complete the course.

“The youths will undergo a driving course of class B-light, class C1-light truck and class A1 motorbike,” said Dr. Mishra after handing over the scholarship at his office, Monday.

The Jubilee MP said the scholarship will also cater for the driving license and that the course will take one month.

“My aim is to ensure that all youths in my constituency are empowered financially for them to earn a living and help their families. I am committed to creating limitless possibilities for the youths to venture into self-employment,” he added.

The first-time MP said recruitment of the 200 youths to undertake driving courses was based on the financial background where those from the poor background were considered for them to assist their families to earn a living.

He, however, revealed that his administration will sponsor 700 students to pursue technical courses such as plumbing and pipefitting, carpentry, masonry welding and fabrication among others at the Eldoret National Polytechnic.

Mishra noted that the recruitment of 1000 youths will commence on 5th June 2018 and urged those interested to visit their member of county Assembly offices to apply for the same.
