Kanu secretary general Nick Salat has come under sharp criticism over his move to join Cord leaders in their anti-IEBC protests.
In his personal attack against Salat, Kapenguria MP Samuel Moroto lambasted the Kanu official of blindly taking the Rift Valley residents for granted.
Moroto who is among the countable legislators in Kanu, blamed Salat for taking part in a demonstration that their party did not issue a go ahead.
“It is totally surprising that our own party secretary general gets into demonstrations when we, as a party, have never made any formal directive on the matter,” said a visibly agitated Moroto.
The legislator explained that the former ruling party remains affiliated to the Jubilee coalition unless otherwise stated, but referred Salat's decision as unfortunate and a personal move.
However, Moroto criticised the police for using unnecessary reinforcement and brutality to crush demonstrations from unarmed Kenyan civilians in Nairobi and Kibera.
