The global community is trying hard to fight Malaria by all means.
The World Malaria Day will be held on April 25 and many institutions have already joined the world to help achieve a malaria free society.
Mortein Doom has revealed plans of partnering with the Mbagathi Hospital to help control malaria.
The company manager, Sachin Varma said that malaria poses a high health risk to both the expectant mothers and children under the age of five years.n
Sachin visited Mbagathi Hospital on Wednesday and presented his donation. He said that the institutions in the country are trying but the malaria issue needs more attention. He revealed that more than 600, 000 people die from malaria annually with most of the victims being children.
‘‘453,000 children are dying annually due to Malaria. Of these children, 90% are from Africa. This gives challenges us to work extra hard to curb the disease in the continent, however, this can easily be achieved if we start treating it from our homes. It is also said 1,300 children lose their lives daily just because of a mosquito bite. Such cases can easily be avoided,’’ said Sachin.
