Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has said IEBC’s declaration of Uhuru Kenyatta as president-elect is final and any party aggrieved should challenge the poll’s outcome in court.

The vocal lawmaker said Kenya’s elections are over and it is high time Kenyans to united, worked together to build the country.

Uhuru was declared winner of the 2017 presidential election after garnering 8,203,290 votes against opposition leader Raila Odinga’s 6,762,224.

“The people have spoken. The process has gone the full length. We now have a president,” Kuria said shortly after IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati announced presidential results.

“A President for Jubilee and NASA supporters, a president for all Kenyans. We now embark on a journey to heal the wounds of political division.”

He termed Uhuru’s win as the “real second liberation for this country”.

“I am so happy to be re-united with my many friends within the NASA coalition whom we can now work together to build this country. From this day going forward we can work on the basis of like-mindedness, policies and ideologies.”

After the IEBC declared the presidential results, Uhuru reached out to Raila to work with his government.
