Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior wants Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria arrested and prosecuted over alleged ethnic hate mongering.
Senator Kilonzo Junior says that Kuria should be arrested and presented in court over recent hate remarks he allegedly made against a certain ethic group in a rally at Waginge in Kiambu.
The Makueni senator said that Kuria is a notorious hate monger, adding that his mongering is dangerous for the country's unity.
"The Inspector General of Police and the Directoe of Public Prosecutions (DPP) should move with haste and tame Kuria's loose tongue," he said as quoted by the Standard.
Kilonzo at the same time criticized the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) accusing it of 'sleeping' on its job.
The senator said that the Francis Ole Kaparo led commission is 'toothless', adding that it's time to disband it.
The senator added that NCIC has been selective on matters hate speech and incitement.
Moses Kuria has often found himself in the wrong hands of the law over hate speech related issues.
He was among the famous 'Pangani' six lawmakers who were held in police custody over hate remarks.
