Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has warned the Coast region against voting for NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the forthcoming repeat polls.

Speaking over the weekend during a series of rallies in Kwale, the lawmaker noted that the opposition has nothing to offer the region despite its overwhelming support for the former Prime Minister."Don't be fools like a housefly by following the dead to the grave. You should be clever houseflies that die in a glass of milk," said Kuria. The MP stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta has decided to reward the region by proposing Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya as the next Council of Governors chair."With what you gave Jubilee, you were rewarded by the president proposing Governor Salim Mvurya as the chairman of the council of governors. What did NASA give you with the million votes you delivered for them?" asked Kuria. The lawmaker further exuded confidence that Jubilee Party would trounce NASA in the October 26 repeat elections."We are hoping you will do the same in the rerun. You will be rewarded abundantly,” he added. The Coast region is largely perceived as a NASA stronghold, owing to its support for opposition leader Raila Odinga in past elections.
