Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has congratulated NASA leader Raila Odinga over a speech he made in Bondo.
Even though many take him as a strong critic of Raila, Kuria went ahead to say he liked the eloquent speech Raila gave to area residents.
“I really liked Raila's speech in Bondo. Do not beat up Kikuyus, Kisiis and Somali business people in Bondo. I think that’s statesmanship. Now also tell them not to demonstrate with rocks. Tell them not to attack police stations because if they do so, predictably and invariably they will be putting themselves in harm's way. Nonetheless it was a good start," he said on his Facebook page.
"I want to remind the people of Kiambu that Luos and other communities living with us are our brothers and sisters. They have the right to vote for Raila or Uhuru just like you. Let’s keep the peace,” Kuria said.
Kuria has on several occasions been accused of preaching hate against Raila and people of a specific ethnic extraction.
On September 17, he said they will put Raila under house arrest should he try to stop the repeat presidential election.
“If Raila tries to stop us from voting on 17th October, we will place him under house arrest just the way we did to Jaramogi," he said.
