Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has defended his Kandara counterpart Alice Wahome against allegations of threatening IEBC's Returning Officer for failing to change election results.

Addressing journalists at the Bomas of Kenya on Saturday, Kuria reiterated that Wahome was only asking the RO to note down certain descripancies on the presidential election results recorded in form 34B.

Kuria believes that Wahome is only being castigated for her requests because she comes from the Jubilee party.

"The Maina Kiai case prohibits returning officers from making changes to already recorded results. However, the returning officer is mandated to write down an descripancies for further assessment. That is what Alice Wahome was asking for but since she is from the Jubilee party then there is a problem," reiterated Kuria.

Kuria also called on the media for allegedly taking sides in the ongoing political tussle in the country.

"You media people are not moral police. You are quick to talk about police brutality but fail to cover police vehicles stoned during demonstrations. You also are quick to cover Wahome's case but fail to look at leaders inciting people to demonstrate," added Kuria.
