Gatundu South Member of parliament Moses Kuria has condemned opposition leader Raila Odinga for calling for fresh presidential election.
He said this is uncalled for and will be a big burden to taxpayers since Kenyans are tired.
"I dont support the call by Raila Odinga for fresh elections since Kenyans voted and chose their leaders in the last presidential elections," he said in Eldoret town on Monday.
"We will not allow this country to be taken back to the electioneering period instead he should wait for 2022 where he will meet Deputy President William Ruto in the ballot," added the Gatundu legislator.
He wondered why the opposition leader was calling for fresh presidential elections yet he was recently sworn in as people's president .
"If one is sworn in as president he is supposed to name his cabinet and start running his government and not going back to the elections. I call upon Raila to refrain from politicking and concentrate on development that will improve the livelihoods of the electorates," noted the Jubilee Member of Parliament.
Kuria urged Kenyans to maintain peace and avoid being divided by opposition leaders on tribal and political cocoons.
