Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has mocked National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi following their tour of the Western region over the weekend.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Kuria ridiculed the two opposition leaders for pulling small crowds when they toured Vihiga County on Saturday.
“The last time I campaigned on the same route. From Eshibuye-Kilingili-Luanda-Majengo-Mbale-Chavakali-Mudete-Shamakhokho-Kaimosi to Cheptulu, I got larger crowds than what Musalia and Wetangula got yesterday. What a pity!” read Kuria’s post.
Mudavadi and Wetangula addressed a series of rallies in Vihiga County on Saturday, in a move that was aimed at consolidating their support in their region following Wetangula's ouster as Senate Minority Leader.
Addressing journalists in Bungoma on Sunday, Wetangula gave up the Senate minority seat, saying he was no longer interested in the position.
The Ford Kenya Party leader said ODM should brace for a tough political battle, adding that they shall give the Orange party 'small but lethal doses’.
On his part, Mudavadi hit out at opposition chief Raila Odinga for sidelining his NASA co-principals in the recent pact with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“The country needs a constructive, broad-based, all-inclusive dialogue. Nobody has exclusive rights to negotiate,” said Mudavadi.
He, however, said that the coalition will soldier on in pursuing its reforms agenda.
The two were accompanied by Ford Kenya Deputy Party leader Boni Khalwale, Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, Lugari MP Ayub Savula among other leaders.
