Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria took on social media to mock the National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s hospitalisation.
Raila was on Sunday evening hospitalised at Mombasa Hospital after ailing from food poisoning.
His advisor Salim Lone through a statement on Sunday evening briefed the public on what transpired before he was rushed to hospital and how he was fairing on.
“Note to correspondents
This is a brief to indicate that while at the Mombasa Airport to take a flight back to Nairobi the NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga felt slightly unwell. His colleagues with him, including Mr Kalonzo Musyoka, Mr Musalia Mudavadi, Mr Moses Wetangula and Senator James Orengo decided that it was the best that a doctor examined him before Mr Odinga took the flight to Nairobi.
Odinga himself felt that there was no need for this but he was persuaded by his colleagues that it was best to not travel at this time.
Mr. Odinga feels quite comfortable and is being examined by a doctor at Mombasa Hospital. The doctor feels that there is absolutely no cause for alarm.
There is absolutely no reason for anyone to worry about Mr Odinga’s health. We will send out another note shortly updating you on Mr Odinga’s plans,” Salim Lone said.
In what seems to be like mocking the Nasa flag bearer, the Jubilee law maker took on his Facebook page to update the public on his health in almost the same version of Lone’s statement.
“Note to correspondents
This is a brief to indicate that while relaxing in Nairobi this afternoon, I felt slightly unwell. I insisted on going to the hospital but my friends felt I was slightly okay.
At the moment I am receiving warm home care from colleagues.
I feel quite comfortable and I am being examined by my friends. My friends feel that there is absolutely no cause for alarm.
There is absolutely no reason for anyone to worry about my health. We will send out another note shortly updating you on my plans,” Kuria posted on his Facebook page, Sunday.
