Witnesses said he was not part of the protestors as he was returning from hospital when he was caught up in chaos.Following his death, Kuria took to social media and criticised opposition leader Raila Odinga saying he will attend the burial of the departed then lead the mourners in political slogans, "Mourners Riaa' Mourners Tibiim! Mourners Tialala.""Sad to hear a man died in Kisumu during anti-IEBC protests," the Jubile legislator wrote on his Facebook page, Monday."In 2016 four died during similar protests. Predictably, Raila will attend the burial, lift his right hand up to salute the departed, raise a flywhisk with the left hand and shout Jowi! Jowi! Jowi!. Then he will proceed with the rest of his speech 'Mourners Riaa' Mourners Tibiim! Mourners Tialala. And he will then lead them into a song 'Nipigwe teke, sitarudi nyuma'. All will join the song except the departed. May he RIP," Kuria added.
