The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga stands no chance of defeating President Uhuru Kenyatta in next month's poll, Gatundu South Moses Kuria has said.
Kuria said Kenyans will give President Kenyatta another term in office because of his development track record, unlike his opponent who has nothing to show.
"People will judge by development records when they vote. Raila has no development record. These are not things you can just take away from the people's memory," Kuria said.
In an opinion piece published by the Star on Wednesday, the vocal MP said the ODM leader has lost most of his political backyards to Jubilee because of the development they have received from the national government.
"NASA strongholds have gone to Jubilee because they find some national government-initiated development in their areas," he observed.
The lawmaker added: "The ground has shifted tremendously because of Jubilee and President Kenyatta’s sterling development record, no other reason."
Kuria further said the Head of State enjoys the power of incumbency which will also complicate matters for the former Prime Minister in his bid to oust the Jubilee leadership.
"To defeat an incumbent government is difficult, now to defeat an incumbent government like Jubilee, which has delivered, is even more difficult," he added.
