Outspoken Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has said he holds no grudge with the Luo community.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Kitengela to drum up support for the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta, Kuria said he is only opposed to NASA leader Raila Odinga because of his breed of politics.
"There are rumours being spread online that I hate Luos. I want to state here clearly that I have no problem with the Luo community or any other community but my only problem is Raila because of his divisive politics," he said on Saturday.
Kuria accused the Opposition presidential candidate of planning chaos in the country to prevent repeat election set for October 26 from taking place.
"Raila has sensed defeat and that is why he is inciting his supporters to cause violence ahead of the fresh election. We are telling him as Jubilee that the poll will take place whether he participates or not," the MP said.
Kuria was recently arrested and charged for allegedly uttering abusive words to the former Prime Minister and his wife Ida Odinga.
However, he denied the charges and was released on a Sh300,000 cash bail and ordered to sign a Sh1 million bond as surety that he will conduct himself in a good behaviour before the trial begins.
