The groups which were given the cheques are beneficiaries of the Gatundu South Uwezo Fund.

"Today I presented cheques to 17 women groups, beneficiaries of the Gatundu South Uwezo Fund. The groups are members of the Inuka Women Self Help Initiative which was founded and has been nurtured by the Kenyatta Trust," said Kuria on his Facebook page.

To further support the groups, the Jubilee legislator promised to collaborate with Inuka in rolling out the pilot for Maisha Kilimo Project.

"I pledged to partner with Inuka in rolling out the pilot for Maisha Kilimo Project in Kahuguini Primary School," Kuria noted.

"Maisha Kilimo is a partnership between Moses Kuria Foundation, Gatundu South CDF, public schools and community groups whereby the community groups will use idle land in public schools for farming in dairy, poultry, chicken, greenhouse and other crops," he added.
