Kuria says that the leadership rivalry between Waititu and Nyoro is a threat to Kiambu’s development agenda.

Speaking to journalists in Gatundu Town on Thursday, the vocal MP asked Waititu and Nyoro to quit office if they want to engage in the political tug of wars.

He said that the two leaders can iron their differences and continue serving residents who wholeheartedly elected them to office in 2017.

“They (Waititu- Nyoro) should quit office if they are tired of serving Kiambu people instead of engaging in ugly public spats,” he said on Thursday.

The Gatundu South lawmaker said that it’s not time for elected leaders to engage in political and power wrangles.

He asked Kiambu residents to demand services from their elected leaders.

Governor Waititu has fallen out with his deputy who accuses him (Waititu) of sidelining him (Nyoro) on key county matters.

Nyoro claims that working under Waititu is torturers.

On Monday, the Kiambu deputy governor said that Waititu has sidelined him and the entire county executive labeling him a one-man show.

Waititu has however rubbished Nyoro’s claims, saying that the deputy governor is just making noise for nothing.

The Jubilee governor assured Kiambu people that his government is intact and that he is committed to service delivery.
