Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has hit out at NASA leader Raila Odinga after he claimed to be the legitimate president ahead of his swearing in on December 12 during the Jamhuri day celebrations.

Odinga on Tuesday reiterated that he and his supporters would not recognise Uhuru Kenyatta as president of the Kenyan republic, believing that the October 26 elections were a charade.

He also alleged that he beat President Uhuru Kenyatta with over 1.4 million votes in the August 8 elections.

Moses Kuria now says that Raila Odinga's promise to be president was out of focus. He mocked the former prime minister on Facebook saying his was a "2052 vision".

He said; "Vision 2052. Say a prayer for this man. He has lost it totally. It is illogical to expect him to check himself into a mental hospital.I may have to instruct his bodyguards to take him to Mathari. Purely on humanitarian basis".

Odinga on Tuesday led a NASA convoy in dodging police in the capital, in a bid to address his supporters at Jacaranda grounds and later in Kibra after police thwarted his rally at the former venue.

He claimed he was the legitimate president of the country.

“I am not a coward. I will be sworn as a president on Jamhuru Day,” Raila Odinga said

He added; “I am the legitimate president.”
