Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria now claims Raila Odinga and his supporters will storm Kisumu State House after his controversial inauguration on Tuesday.
The MP alleges that NASA was planning to swear in its leader in Kisumu.
“NASA planning to swear in Raila Odinga at Moi Stadium Kisumu. Justice Richard Otieno Kwach to conduct the swearing in.”
“He will then move with his supporters and storm State House, Kisumu,” Kuria sensationally wrote on his Facebook page.
AG Muigai on Thursday explained the move by the Opposition NASA to install Raila Odinga as ‘People’s President’ amounts to treason.
“The criminal law of the Republic of Kenya stipulates that this sort of process is high treason. It is high treason of the persons involved and any other person facilitating that process,” he said.
Such an offense criminalises any person involved in and those facilitating it. Githu noted that it is punishable by death.
“The punishment of committing treason is death,” Githu Muigai said.
Odinga maintained that he does not recognise Uhuru Kenyatta as the country’s president and that his Tuesday 12th oath will rely on the August 8 election results.
The Opposition believes the August 8 poll results “obtained from IEBC servers” gave them an edge over Uhuru Kenyatta with over one million, four hundred thousand votes.
“We don’t recognise the swearing-in (Uhuru Kenyatta’s). We will go by the results of August 8 elections in which Kenyans expressed their will,” Odinga said.
