Controversial Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has lauded the newfound collaboration between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking during a fundraiser at the Njoro AIC church Sunday, an event also attended by Deputy President William Ruto, the anti-Odinga lawmaker, who had earlier predicted the union, termed it as a new start for the country.
He vowed to be in the front line in dialogue and national healing, asking for forgiveness from all Odinga and opposition supporters he might have wronged in his earlier attacks on the former Prime Minister.
"This is a new beginning and I would like to start it in a clean way. I, therefore, do sincerely apologize to any Kenyan I might have wronged in the past," he said.
On his side, Ruto reiterated his earlier stand that the reconciliation came at the right time.
He urged all politicians to unite and follow in the footsteps of the two national leaders, observing that it is a sure bet towards eradicating negative ethnicity.
"We want to take a path that will quite all of us. I urge all leaders to come on board and join our band wagon as we move towards the same," said the DP.
Also present were other leaders allied to the Jubilee bloc, all of whom endorsed the move.
