Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria has been summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC).
This comes after Kuria stated that Cord leader, Raila Odinga is a threat to the country and should be stopped.
Speaking at a press briefing, the NCIC chairman, Francis Ole Kaparo stated that despite the commission not being able to stop the spread of hate speech in the country, they would hunt down the perpetrators and take firm action against them.
“We do not have the ability to shut down social media and I would not, in any way, curtail the media in whatever form. But we need the public to be cautious of what they post on social media to ensure they do not spread hate,” he said.
The Bahati MP, Kimani Ngunjiri has also been summoned by the commission over hate speech.
