The controversial MP said it was unfair for the Wiper party leader’s son to be denied the opportunity just because his father is a prominent politician in the country.
Kuria said everyone should be judged on merit.
"I express my support for Kennedy Musyoka. When his name comes up in the National Assembly, I will vote for and support his candidature. I have listened to voices that are opposed to his candidature and I am not convinced,” he said during an interview on Capital FM
"As a matter of fact, I am convinced that so many Kenyans are denied opportunities because they are not from well-known families and I say that is very wrong. But it is equally wrong to deny a Kenyan an opportunity, simply because they are from a known family," Kuria stated.
The lawmaker said he will vote for Kalonzo’s son once the names of the EALA nominees are tabled in Parliament.
Kennedy’s nomination sparked outrage among politicians, with National Assembly Leader of Majority, Aden Duale, vowing to shut down the nomination.
