Just a day after taking his Mbele Iko Sawa campaigns to Kwale County, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria toured Mombasa, the epicenter of opposition politics in the region.
The firebrand legislator who joined Jubilee politicians in the county in their tour of Kongowea Ward in Kisauni Constituency, asked residents to reject NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga whom he claimed has no agenda for the country.While accusing the former Prime Minster of being 'power hungry', Kuria questioned Raila's development record during his tenure as an MP and later as Minister and Prime Minister.He termed the former Premier a selfish politician who masquerades as a reformer.Kuria further drummed up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta and urged residents to give him a fresh mandate.“The President's first term in office has proved to be a success and another term will enable him complete the development projects has initiated,” said Kuria.He also asked residents to back Jubilee Mombasa governor candidate Suleiman Shahbal’s bid saying should he form the next county government the county’s leadership will modernize Kongowea Market by improving security and lightening to ensure it operates an a 24-hour basis.The outspoken MP also said he is confident President Uhuru will garner more votes in the county compared to the 2013 election.
