An MP allied to the ruling Jubilee party has laughed off the small crowds that Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula attracted during their weekend tour of three Western counties.
Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) said the fact that the two leaders failed to pull huge crowds in the region during the visit clearly shows they don't command support.
Mudavad and Wetangula spent the better part of the weekend in Kakamega, Vihiga and Bungoma criticizing NASA Senator's dcision to dethrone Wetangula from his Senate Minority Leader's position.
Their tour began in Majengo, Mbale, Machengo, Ambale, Chavakali, Mudete, Shamakhokho and Chavakali in Vihiga County before they drove to Kakamega and finally Bungoma town where they addressed a rally alongside other local leaders.
"The last time I campaigned on the same route; from Eshibuye-Kilingili-Luanda-Majengo-Mbale-Chavakali-Mudete-Shamakhokho-Kaimosi to Cheptulu. I got larger crowds than what Musalia and Wetangula got. What a pity!" Kuria said on his official Facebook page.
Kuria a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta has constantly been calling for the two NASA co-principals to join Raila and Uhuru in working together to develop the country after the historic union between ODM and Jubilee party.
Mudavadi and Wetangula have already declared the Luhya community will field a presidential candidate in 2022.
