Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria landed in Homa Bay County on Saturday afternoon.
Kuria, who was expected to alight at Rangwe Constituency, was forced to land in Karachuonyo due to the unfavorable climate in the region.
“Bad weather forced Rangwe MP Hon Lillian Gogo and myself to land in Karachuonyo en route to Rangwe but the hospitality and warmth of Jakarachuonyo made that irrelevant,” posted the Jubilee MP on his Facebook page, Saturday.
The Gatundu South legislator was invited to the county by Rangwe MP Lillian Gogo and Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga to be the chief guest at a fundraiser for Odienya SDA Church in Rangwe.
Kuria is also expected to visit the proposed site of the Nyaburu-Oboke-Rangwe Road whose.
“As the Vice Chair of the Transport Committee in the National Assembly, I will take the opportunity to tour the proposed site of the Nyaburu-Oboke-Rangwe Road whose tarmarcking we hope to start in May. Karibuni nyote tufanye kazi ya Mungu na tutumikie watu wake,” the lawmaker said in an earlier post.
Kuria had been a strong critic of Opposition leader Raila Odinga who hails from the Nyanza region. He however seems to have changed his tune after the historic handshake between Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
