Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Sunday said that time for the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga to be in active politics was up.

The controversial MP claimed that even God wants the former Prime Minister to retire from politics so that He can make him 'rest in peace'

“Nii nitwaragia na Ngai na aranjirire githurano giki giukite tuhurukie Raila wira, nake thutha ucio ni ekumuhurukia,” he said in Gikuyu language at an event in Kiambu County.

(God speaks to me and recently he told me that during the forthcoming elections we should send Raila to retirement, thereafter God will make Him rest in peace)

Kuria was speaking at Ndumberi Stadium during the issuance of Jubilee Party nominations certificates to winners of the just concluded party primaries.

He told Kiambu residents to verify and ensure they are in the IEBC register during the ongoing exercise by the electoral body, urging them to come out in large numbers to re-elect President Uhuru Kenyatta in August polls.

“Charity begins at home. This is President Kenyatta's backyard and we must vote for him to the last man in August and ensure we hand him a second term,” he added.
