Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has called on his Governor friend in NASA to ditch Raila Odinga’s team and join Jubilee.
Speaking in Mt Elgon on Sunday, Kuria called on Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati to re-evaluate his political calculations and join the government-side.“Wangamati and I studied mathematics in school and it is clear he made wrong calculations in the last elections. I would like to ask him to reconsider his political stand now and join the winning side,” said Kuria.“The Canaan that is talked about in the bible flows with milk and honey which can be compared to the development that Jubilee is undertaking, not NASA’s empty rhetoric," he added. He said the divisions in NASA cannot stand the test of time and it is time for their members to count their losses and reconsider their political stand. He further weighed in on the 2022 succession debate saying the Central region will vote for Deputy President William Ruto.He thrashed talks that Central region cannot support leaders from different regions saying they are committed to keeping their promise to support Ruto to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.Moses Kuria also urged the people of Mt Kenya to maintain peace and avoid the on-going clashes.“We just know of two armies, that which is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Salvation Army, no other army is recognised in Kenya, and stand as a militia group,” he said in reference to the outlawed Sabaot Land Defence Force (SLDF).In the last two months, the militia group has been linked to the killing of 20 people prompting hundreds of families to flee their homes and seek refuge in the neighbouring Bungoma and Tran Nzoia counties.
